ARE YOU OPEN YET?
Loch March is a unique property situated in the March Highlands with increased elevation and dense forest for shelter.
With temperatures soaring in March to record high digits, snow accumulation on the 300 acre property has quickly dissipated. As the snow melted at a tremendouse pace, it has revealed nearly unblemished greens. The bentgrass tees, greens and fairways at Loch March, however, require soil temperatures to be continually in the mid teens for active and consistant growth to occur. A sudden cold snap which commonly occurs between now and May, can easily cause the turf to regress or decline, therefore, it is important to us that we monitor weather patterns and forecasts closely to ensure optimal playing conditions are present before we open the course to our guests.
